Terms of Service

By downloading, installing, or using Kouple, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Kouple.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Kouple. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use of Kouple after updates constitutes acceptance.

You must be at least 13 years old (16 in the EU) to use Kouple. By using Kouple, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

Kouple is designed for two people in a romantic relationship. One account per person is permitted.

You must create an account to use Kouple. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful information when creating your account
• Keep your password secure and not share it with anyone
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Kouple allows you to "pair" with one other person to share content. By pairing:

• You acknowledge that certain content you create will be shared with your paired partner
• You consent to receiving content from your paired partner
• Either partner may unpair at any time
• Kouple is not responsible for disputes arising between paired partners

5.1 Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you create in Kouple (photos, letters, memories, etc.). By using Kouple, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

5.2 Prohibited Content

You agree not to create, share, or store content that:

• Is illegal, harmful, threatening, or harassing
• Infringes the intellectual property rights of others
• Contains malware, viruses, or malicious code
• Violates the privacy of any person without their consent
• Is intended to defraud or deceive

We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

Kouple offers a free tier and a Premium subscription. Premium subscriptions:

• Are processed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store
• Auto-renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date
• Are subject to the refund policies of the respective app stores

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days' notice to existing subscribers.

Kouple and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Kouple and protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of Kouple's proprietary materials without written permission.

Your use of Kouple is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

Kouple is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kouple shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for all claims arising from these Terms or your use of Kouple shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $100 AUD, whichever is greater.

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violations of these Terms. You may terminate your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Upon termination, your right to use Kouple ceases immediately. Sections 7, 9, 10, and 12 survive termination.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Victoria, Australia, unless otherwise required by applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.
